Member's to the Rescue
36mins into the first half of Friday evening's [21st May] Ireland match two players collided. One of which suffered an injury later described by the Ireland team doctor as "something you'd only see once in a hundred years". The player was administered oxygen before being loaded onto an ambulance trolley and taken from the pitch by members or the St John Ambulance.

The player was immediately taken to the waiting St. John Ambulance and rushed to the Mater hospital for specialist treatment and life saving procedures.

Special thanks is owed to Rodney Reardon and Ian Kearney from our Division along with Martin Harte, Robert Tancred and Maeve Roantree of Lansdowne Division who treated and transported the patient.

The patient is said to be in a stable condition in the Mater hospital and we all wish him a speedy recovery
